Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)

  • Evaluate situations & maintain continuous communications between teacher, principals, paras, custodians, secretaries, and parents.

  • Responsible for attendance tracking for administrators, para-educators, security and secretaries.

  • Responsible for monitoring teacher attendance and obtaining guest teachers utilizing AESOP.

  • Responsible for payroll for hourly staff (para-educators, security and secretaries)

  • Responsible for office & building supplies including ordering and maintaining inventory.

  • Work closely with principal to monitor and manage school funds.

  • Maintain building production print orders from district copy center.

  • Keep record of staff leaving, positions for hire, new hires, issue of keys, parking pass, voicemail; be a point of contact for all new staff.

  • Responsible for State reports -- Keep required HR Posters up-to-date.

  • Responsible for Drill Reports; completion and reporting to ASC for tracking.

  • Complete all service book orders for the building on TMS system and maintain records for accounting and distribution.

  • Complete all yearly catalog orders for the building on the district catalogs and maintain records for accounting and distribution.

  • Keep track of all building radios, telephones, voicemail, cameras and schedule repairs for such when needed.

  • Use Microsoft Publisher to create Hall of Honor Program.

  • Assist Principal in coordinating the Hall of Honor event every two years & NHS Student HoH Scholarship applications yearly.

  • Update voicemail on the Strategy Voicemail system.

  • Processing Petty cash forms, A1A forms and c-forms for curriculum, office and some grant funds.

  • Proficient with Microsoft word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook calendars and other technologies used in the building.

  • Willing to participate in all building and district workshops that are relevant to the position.

  • Ability to work with a diverse student population.

  • Supports assigned administrative personnel for the purpose of providing assistance with their administrative functions.

  • Assist all other secretaries in the building when needed.

  • Other duties as assigned by Principal

Physical Requirements of Position:

  • Ability to routinely lift/carry office supplies and printed materials weighing up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to communicate so others can clearly understand a normal conversation in person and/or on the telephone

  • Ability to operate computer, calculator, copy machine, telephone, and other office equipment with dexterity and in a safe and efficient manner
