Key Accountabilities * Locates, inspects, operates and maintains valves in the distribution system. * Locates, inspects, operates and maintains water mains in the distribution system. Locates, inspects, operates and maintains hydrants in the distribution system. * Conducts leak detection on water mains, hydrants, valves and services to reduce lost water. * Conducts distribution system flushing program. * Performs hydrant flow test to monitor system flows and pressures. * Replaces or installs water main facilities and equipment as required to maintain the distribution system. * Qualifies as a Competent Person per OSHA guidelines. * Attends company training or outside training classes as assigned. * Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills * Knowledge of safety concerns associated with trenching and shoring, and other OSHA regulations. * Knowledge of basic hydraulics. * Must be computer proficient.
