Raytheon Technologies Quality Engineer I (New Grad) (Onsite) in Decorah, Iowa

This position is for a Quality professional. Works as an individual contributor to achieve objectives that have a significant impact on site quality health. May manage Quality processes and/or projects. Uses experience and knowledge to influence the development, modification, application, and maintenance, or quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols. This is an onsite position and will require the employee to be at the facility

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and makes recommendations for Quality Assurance plans, guidelines, policies, and processes that support the achievement of Quality targets.

  • Conducts Quality Assurance processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.

  • Provides production process analysis, ensuring quality standards are met and proposing quality improvements.

  • Collects and analyzes quality information for the development of quality strategy and programs.

  • Analyzes quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.

  • Reviews process control documentation to ensure it is in compliance with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts.

  • Conducts processes to modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols.

  • Provides explanations of testing and inspection plans, methods and technologies to assure reliability and conformance of products and processes.

  • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products.

  • Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.

  • Responsible for quality certification stamp control for Iowa locations

  • Responsible for containment and release of product

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required

  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Quality background preferred

  • Data analytics experience

  • Ability to interpret specifications

  • Self-motivated with a passion for QA and proven problem-solving ability

  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project or project Management Software

  • Knowledge of root cause corrective action tools and techniques
