80361BRTitle:Warehouse Leadperson IndirectBusiness:SEF Industrial State/Country/Province:Iowa No. of Positions:1Job Description: Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in the efficient operation of the day to day functions of the warehouse. Direct, train and assist warehouse employees ensuring all shipments to customers are made on time. Serve as primary customer service contact at warehouse facility in order to meet the customer’s needs.

Job Knowledge

Basic personal computer knowledge.

Thorough knowledge of warehouse system.

Thorough knowledge of all customer driven specifications.

Thorough parts identification knowledge.

Thorough material handling equipment knowledge.

Procedure manual location and contents.

Knowledge of human relations and communications skills sufficient to assist in administration of company policies and procedures.

Thorough knowledge to support Export paperwork completion, and export compliance as needed (Indirect).

Knowledge to be able to assist with the scheduling of the package and sort areas when needed.

Ability to be able to perform minor machine maintenance (direct).

Thorough understanding of shipping supply needs and requisition process.

Leadership

Prioritize activities to maximize efficiencies.

Recognize unsafe condition or act and report to supervisor immediately.

Ability to recognize problems requiring assistance.

Ability to recognize situations requiring extra assistance.

Recognize acceptable supply inventory level.

Supervisory Assistance

Ensures compliance with company safety and housekeeping requirements.

Communicates and reviews performance requirements with employees.

Assists Warehouse supervisor in the development of employees.

Provides required training to ensure appropriate skill levels of warehouse employees.

Monitor productivity and quality of work performed by warehouse employees.

Assist supervisor in maintaining department budget and future planning needs.

Provide coaching of employees and monitors the performance of their responsibilities

Assists supervisor with department work schedules and assigning tasks to employees based upon customer needs.

Assist supervisor with analyzing and documenting new employee training checklist ensuring that employees meet basic training requirements.

Assist supervisor in assessing employee performance by providing appropriate feedback and by participation in disciplinary matters.

Facilitate effective communication on all shifts and assure information flow exists.

Performs duties as requested by the Supervisor.

Must be available to work overtime as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED.

Human relations skills.

Self-motivated.

Basic computer knowledge.

Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).

Good leadership skills.

Knowledge of IATF16949 and ISO14001 requirements.

Preferred:

Knowledge of fasteners.
