Wolters Kluwer Account & Relationship Management Executive - Healthcare - Work from Home in Des Moines, Iowa

The Account & Relationship Management Executive for Wolters Kluwer Health Medical Research has primary responsibility for meeting or exceeding sales goals and driving profitable growth in accounts within the territory. Focus will be on selling digital research and learning solutions to medical and academic institutions.

The Account & Relationship Management Executive will be calling primarily on medical librarians, as well as CNO’s, CIO’s, Nurse Educators, faculty, Deans, and clinicians. They will both expand the customer base and grow existing customer business through strong product knowledge, effectively understanding customer needs and adeptly positioning Ovid’s content and value proposition with our customers.

The Account & Relationship Management Executive will be responsible for a territory covering Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, Missouri, North Dakota, and South Dakota


•Plan, organize, and implement sales strategy for the territory

•Maintain existing customer base in territory

•Prospect and develop new business within territory

•Prepare proposals and provide information regarding terms of sales, and delivery dates, based on customer needs

•Send accurate weekly forecast updates to Director of Sales

•Have a comprehensive knowledge of Ovid’s full suite of products

•Regular travel within territory and required customer facing activity each month (20 face-to-face and virtual meetings, 25 phone calls)

•Achieve sales objectives set forth for the territory

•Occasional (3-5x per year) participation in regional and/or national trade shows

•Participation in company sales meetings (2x per year)

•Maintain and update with contacts, meetings, proposals, etc. •Learn internal (quote/accounting) systems

Key Responsibilities:

•Develop and maintain a sales pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales objectives via prospecting and account management

•Develop sales strategy for prospects and assigned accounts and successfully manage deals through the sales cycle

•Communicate with customers with regards to any account problems and discuss customer concerns and suggestions

•Negotiate service/product terms with customers in line with guidelines

•Report suggestions to and develop solutions with sales, order processing, and customer support team

•May handle add-on sales for clients

Key Requirements:

•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience

•3+ years working in Account Management or Sales or other equivalent experience

•Solid understanding of business, financials, products/services and the market, preferably with a reputation for providing a level of expert knowledge within your industry

•Excellent communication (both written & oral) and presentation skills

•Ability to manage own territory/account and monitor resources accordingly
