Job Description

The Professional Licensing & Regulation Bureau (PLB) is seeking a motivated, dynamic individual to serve as the program manager for continuing education (CE) compliance audits and work product reviews (WPR) as well as assist with licensing for the Real Estate Appraiser Examining Board.

  • Conducts CE audits and WPRs to determine if records are maintained in accordance and in compliance with applicable state law and regulations. Reviews and investigates submissions from licensees. Reports the results of all audits and investigative findings, including violations for review and potential disciplinary action. Testify in administrative hearings, if needed.

  • Develops, monitors, reviews, and analyzes the CE audit and WPR programs. Develops and maintains procedure manual for the Bureau, including development of training materials. Serves as the lead staff person in educating and training PLB staff on procedures within the manual.

  • Review and process license applications for assigned board(s) by verifying compliance; Issue new licenses when requirements have been met and upon verification of education and examination; prepares daily deposits for funds received from assigned boards; processes renewals by verifying compliance, and requesting missing information as needed.

A successful candidate will have the following qualifications/skills:

  • Ability to multitask and maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced office.

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

  • Ability to plan and organize work to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to type and perform basic accounting tasks are required.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in any field.

  • A total of four years of education (as described in number one) and/or full-time experience in accounting, secretarial, or office support work collecting, compiling, reporting, examining and/or editing numerical data; coding and qualifying people for benefits, licenses, or other transactions; preparing and keeping budgetary accounts and projections; organizing and implementing office support operations; advising on procedural processes; or other work that provided direct support and exposure to substantive agency programs, where one year of full-time experience is equal to 30 semester hours of education.

  • Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to 12 months of full-time work as a Secretary 2, Clerk Specialist, Public Service Supervisor, Accounting Technician (any level), Purchasing Assistant, or Human Resources Technical Assistant.
