Principal Administrative Assistant in Des Moines, Iowa

As an Administrative Assistant working within the Product & Dist. Compliance Department, you’ll have the opportunity to impact the overall success of the department company as well as the leaders who you will directly support. This is an opportunity to work with and support a dynamic group of leaders!

Here are a few examples of the types of things you'll do:

  • Apply strategic calendar management and project support for the leadership team and others as needed.

  • Balance sensitive and confidential company and employee information.

  • Partner closely with other Administrative Assistants as well as associates within the business units on requests.

  • Schedule, create agendas, gather presentation materials, and compose notes for board meetings, multiple committees, audits and more.

  • Assist team members with scheduling travel, completing expense reports, taking meeting minutes, running reports, creating presentations, proactively assisting to organize priorities and office technology to build efficiency and increase effectiveness.

  • Manage department processes while generating and implementing innovative ideas to drive efficiency.

  • Maintain various department processes and project work.

  • Miscellaneous project work as needed.

  • Associate degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 4+ years of related experience required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams and Outlook.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication (including grammar and spelling), organizational, problem solving, and basic math skills.

  • Prior experience taking notes for meetings and organizing follow-up communications preferred.

  • Strong technical skills and ability to deliver excellent customer service.

  • Ability to prioritize assignments, adapt to changes in daily tasks when necessary, and multi-task throughout each day.

  • Detail oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Experience coordinating complex travel arrangements is preferred.

Des Moines, Iowa - Work in Office and Hybrid Model.
