Job Description
The Group:
This position is within the Design Enablement (DE) which is one of the key pillars enabling Intel to deliver winning products in the marketplace.
The Person:
As an Applications Engineer within Intel's Design Enablement (DE) organization, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not always be limited to, utilizing the following skills:
The role drives customer requirements to collaboratively arrive at a competitive solution with Intel internal partners to meet customer needs.
Designs, develops, tests, and debugs software tools, flows, PDK design components, and/or methodologies used in design automation and by teams in the design of hardware products, process design, or manufacturing.
Responsibilities include capturing user stories/requirements, writing both functional and test code, automating build and deployment, and/or performing unit, integration, and endtoend testing of the software tools.

Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related field and 3+ years of professional work experience
OR
- Master's degree in one of engineering disciplines referenced above and 1+ years of professional work experience.
Experience in the following areas (having more than one will be preferred):
- Semiconductor device physics; Synopsys StarRC, ICV OR Cadence Quantus (QRC) OR Siemens - Mentor Calibre XRC; Virtuoso Custom Layout; Silicon process technology development concepts
Preferred :
Synopsys HSPICE
Python or Perl for Automation Validation

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $88,320.00-$132,660.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
