The Associate Managing Director, Private Client Services, is responsible for leading all aspects of Private Client Services including, strategy, relationship management, financial planning, client service, budgeting, and compliance.
This position has P&L responsibility and will be a significant driver of the PCS strategic plan and execution. The position works closely with Private Banking, Commercial Lending and Market Presidents in delivery of comprehensive private client services. Additionally, this individual will work closely with the Wealth Management sales manager in support of the sales process. The position also works with Executive VP and Senior Managing Director of Institutional and Wealth Management Services as part of senior Wealth Management leadership team with respect to growth, strategic direction, and business execution.
Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:
Develops new and expanded personal trust and other private client relationships and provides coaching to team members to deepen relationships & seek referral opportunities
Develops and maintains professional relationships with referral network of trust and estate attorneys, CPAs and financial advisers
Directly responsibility for relationship managers and ensuring high levels of engagement and client retention. Directs, monitors, coaches and evaluates performance and productivity of Private Client Services employees.
Manages a limited number of the largest and most complex relationships
Leads PCS strategic planning efforts and partners internally to execute strategic plan. Develops and executes client engagement and services model(s).
Provides leadership with respect to all aspects of Private Client Services including administration, planning and compliance
Works closely with Wealth Management sales manager to support prospects, new business and the sales process
Works closely with Client Services Manager to provide exceptional service to our clients
Works collaboratively with Wealth Management Trust Counsel to provide technical support and guidance regarding Private Client matters
Responsible for the creation and management of income/expense budget for Private Client Services

Education and/or Experience:
College degree and a professional certificate preferred
G raduate degree
10-15 years' experience
Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
JD degree preferred
Minimum 10 years’ experience performing sophisticated tax, financial, and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and families in the personal trust or similar environment
Prior business unit or equivalent management experience preferred
Extensive knowledge of tax, financial planning, and estate planning concepts and techniques
Thorough knowledge of fiduciary laws and principles
Working knowledge of investment concepts
