WhatsApp’s Business team leads monetization efforts by building experiences for people to connect with businesses on the platform. WhatsApp is seeking an exceptional individual to serve as Product Marketing Manager for our first monetized business product, the WhatsApp Business API.If you have demonstrated experience in business and product strategy and commercialization, have an empathy for both consumers and businesses, have a strong bias for action and rolling up your sleeves to get things done, and want to unlock the potential of WhatsApp to serve millions of businesses, we would be excited to hear from you.In this role, you will be expected to identify key market requirements/opportunities, manage our go-to-market plans and coordinate cross-functional teams to bring great solutions to businesses and the community. This role will be focused on scaling the WhatsApp Business API globally to reach more businesses and users, including helping to shape the strategy and influence product development around enabling new use cases for business messaging on WhatsApp.You will do this as part of the WhatsApp Business API Product Marketing team, and will report to WhatsApp’s Business API Product Marketing Lead. Your work will also be in close partnership with several other functions, including Product Management, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Legal, Partnerships, etc. You will work closely with global stakeholders internally with cross-functional teams, and also externally with businesses and partners using the API.
Lead development, socialization, and execution of global, comprehensive go-to-market strategies for product policies and strategies for the WhatsApp Business API
Drive inbound product marketing: Be the pulse of the market through industry research, competitive analysis, quantitative analysis, and structured qualitative feedback from businesses through direct engagement
Drive go-to-market strategy and execution: Test and launch new products in market through alphas/betas, product positioning and messaging, launch strategy, and scaled adoption
Guide cross-functional teams (both global and regional) in developing client communications, product documentation, and sales collateral
Create leadership briefings, client communications, and sales collateral for WhatsApp Business API products/policies
Distill and surface market feedback from various channels to product teams for new and existing WhatsApp Business API products/policies
Manage high priority, fast moving decisions and communication planning
Work with PR to devise launch strategies for featured products
7+ years of work experience, including work in marketing, product, consulting, communications, or information technology
Track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results
Experience setting priorities, complex problem solving, multi-tasking, and working independently
Communication experience with technical, business, and external stakeholders
- Experience in a product marketing capacity (partnering with product management or engineering to represent market/customer requirements and supporting product launches across multiple stakeholder audiences)
