Principal Business Relationship Manager - Procurement (Asset Management) in Des Moines, Iowa

As a Business Relationship Manager – Procurement, you'll be an integral part of our Global sourcing team and help transform the way our teams deliver value to our business partners. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders and internal partners to develop effective negotiation and cost reduction strategies, through dynamic requirements that are tied to strategic level business objectives while encouraging innovative solutions that bring value to the enterprise!

+ + Lead major category or more than one minor category.

  • Foster strong and productive relationships with business executives to support sourcing best practices and assure business objectives and service needs are met.

  • Support Principal Asset Management (PGI) business and maintain comprehensive understanding of business operations and strategic objectives

  • Act as liaison with category managers to assure strong, reliable supply chain and align business and category management strategies.

  • Focus on 360-degree view of internal stakeholders to develop an experiential partnership

  • Develop, lead and execute on sourcing strategies and objectives

  • Establish policies and procedures associated with sourcing processes, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations

  • Lead supply & demand planning, supplier selection, and contract review and negotiation

  • College degree or equivalent in finance, supply chain management or other business-related degree or law degree with significate supply chain experience required

  • 5 + years of procurement experience within the Professional Services area

  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills including executive presence

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience leading and/or mentoring team members

  • Consultative, customer mindset with strong analytical thinking skills and business and financial acumen.

  • Strong knowledge of all elements of supply chain management

  • Extensive knowledge of products, strategies and drivers of business area supported.

  • Aptitude for solving complex problems and challenging/influencing internal and external stakeholders

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

$116000 - $162000 / year

Work Environment

This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
