Meta Commercial Agreements Program Manager in Des Moines, Iowa


As the Meta GDCC Commercial Agreements Program Manager, you will play the critical role of leading GDCC commercial engagements, acting as the main point of contact for site teams and external partners when analyzing proposals for commercial engagements, managing the change order process, and conducting negotiations throughout the entire project lifecycle for the following scopes: Cabling and Pathway Design, Fiber Installation for Outside Plant and Inside Plant greenfield/brownfield projects, Outside Plant (OSP) fiber optics & Inside Plant (ISP) fiber optics for greenfield projects, fiber optic retrofits and Data Center Improvement (DCI) to brownfield projects, and professional services in support of these scopes. This role is a full-time remote position supporting global operations in North America, Europe, and APAC with an expected travel percentage of 10-15%.

Required Skills:

Commercial Agreements Program Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Guide GDCC’s commercial management team in the following activities: commercial project management and early vendor engagement, schedule alignment, vendor pre-qualification, and change order management.

  2. Perform project commercial analysis highlighting deviations and mitigating potential risks during the project lifecycle.

  3. Manage change orders through identifying root causes, and working with stakeholders to implement corrective actions preventing recurrence.

  4. Recommend contractors and set the negotiation strategy to achieve firm, fair, and consistent agreements for Facebook and GDCC's contractors.

  5. Guide the contractual relationship between GDCC and contractors by quickly responding to and adapting to signals from stakeholders

  6. leveraging contractual terms and allocation strategies.

  7. Act as the main point of contact between GDCC and the Facebook’s Legal team

  8. expediting contract drafting, revisioning, and provisioning.

  9. Spearhead early engagement with GDCC execution teams and external partners

  10. maintaining a solid service approach.

  11. Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of commercial management processes.

  12. Coordinate and direct contingent workforce support activities.

  13. Work closely with site teams to align change with legal terms.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in business, administration, law or relevant degree.

  2. 7+ years experience in commercial management, business administration, procurement, or other relevant experience.

  3. Experience managing cradle to grave contract lifecycle for multiple large projects.

  4. Experience negotiating complex agreements.

  5. Experience establishing and meeting project objectives and deadlines.

  6. Experience working as an individual contributor within a highly matrixed team environment.

  7. Experience in Microsoft Office software, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project. Robust skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project.

  8. Experience learning new (proprietary) systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Masters of Business Administration.

  2. Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) Certification.

  3. Experience working in a mission critical or data center environment.

  4. 5+ years experience as a contract manager, paralegal, or similar.
