Construction Apprentice

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Job Description:

• Seeking experienced Commercial Carpenter to specialize in remodel work for a variety of projects including healthcare facilities, education institutions, military buildings, and state and federal projects.

• The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set in carpentry, from basic to advanced tasks, and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Responsibilities include accurately measuring and cutting materials, installing trim, cabinets, doors, hardware, and assisting with flooring installation.

Work Environment:

• Weekly hours: Monday - Friday / 7:00 AM to 3:30-4:30 PM.

• Fully Onsite position

Skills:

• 2+ years of commercial carpentry experience

• Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools/saws

• Ability to read a tape measure and cut materials to specification

• Skilled in base and case, metal stud layout and framing
