Intermediate consulting position operating independently with some assistance and guidance to provide quality work products to a project team or customer that comply with Oracle methodologies and practices. Performs standard duties and tasks with some variation to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer specifications.

Standard assignments are accomplished without assistance by exercising independent judgment, within defined policies and processes, to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.

2-5 years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

As a Consultant III, you will consult with clients on Oracle Cerner Contract Management systems. This subject matter expert will possess contract management experience and have base knowledge of Patient Accounting and revenue cycle activities. High level knowledge of revenue cycle: claims, billing, coding, charge capture, and variance analysis is preferred. The ideal candidate should also understand insurance payer contract analysis and have familiarity with professional, governmental and commercial contract reimbursement. In addition, the Consultant III will need to be experienced with CM and Patient Accounting service line workflows, including current state and future state and work with clients to optimize their financial results. The Consultant will build and enter contracts timely, with a high degree of expected reimbursement accuracy, as compared to actual payments received. This associate will assist with testing, validation and variance resolution. The candidate will identify, resolve and report solution status, risks and issues to client and project leadership. The candidate will coach clients on data collection and system design requirements and analyze available information to determine optimal solution build. This CM team member will also consult with internal project teams to provide timelines, project updates and status reporting regularly. As a key member of the team, you will maintain multiple client relationships simultaneously and navigate through conflict and complex relationship situations to achieve business objectives. Our business objective is to be the partner our clients cannot live without, while working within scope and contractually established service guidelines. An additional expectation for this position, is that the Consultant is willing and able to mentor associate consultants and support all team initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 6 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:

  • At least 1 year healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support and/or other client-facing or information technology (IT) solution work experience

  • At least 5 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience

Expectations

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

  • Willing to travel up to 25% as needed

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
