A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.

Our Financial Analysis and Reporting team is responsible for managing PwC’s financial risk through financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and tactical consulting. As part of the team, you’ll help with budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting, shared services and financing.

The Consulting Finance organization provides strategic planning and operational guidance to leadership to enhance the Firm’s financial and operational results in collaboration with other enabler teams (e.g. Human Capital, Partnership Tax, x-Segment Finance). Activities include but are not limited to: development and execution of operational initiatives, forecasting, budgeting; oversight of P&L results and providing guidance to partners and CS teams on engagement pricing / engagement economics.

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Demonstrating knowledge of he firm’s organizational structure, reporting systems such as Microsoft suite, Google Suite, and Tools and methodologies related to financial analysis and reporting;

  • Providing financial analysis, ad hoc reporting in the areas of research, project maintenance, cost management, and operational analysis;

  • Providing analytical and technical assistance to all levels of finance staff and other key stakeholders;

  • Proposing and designing changes and additions to existing reporting packages;

  • Analyzing results and mitigating risk by monitoring and following up on outstanding issues;

  • Participating in cost containment, control improvements, and process efficiencies;

  • Interacting effectively with system programmers and database administrators as necessary to develop or improve systems or tools;

  • Supporting all levels of staff by providing instruction/assistance on financial reporting systems, analyses and research;

  • Being proactive, inquisitive, and identify possible issues, make recommendations, and support conclusions;

  • Providing pricing type analysis to assess realization, investments and other types of profitability related requests;

  • Managing leadership requests related to strategic planning and presentations and other related ad hoc requests;

  • Managing quality related requests that may include time analysis for specific engagements or partners, support information for PCAOB reviews and a wide variety of other risk management related requests; and,

  • Addressing resource related requests around utilization, market specific reviews/trends and other potential resource related requests.
