Consulting Technical Manager - Oracle Retail Consulting
Overview:
The Technical Manager is an experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of Oracle Retail Product Suite, industry best practices, and multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. In this role, the Consulting Technical Manager will implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs, applying Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.
Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.
May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.
May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance, and feedback to develop skills of team members.
Understand Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service and Store Inventory Operations Cloud Services, Retail Merchandise System and Store Inventory Systems solution and promote its functionalities.
Accountabilities:
Lead and participating in client implementations of one or more of various modules within the Oracle Retail Solutions Suite (RMS, SIM/SIOC, RPM, RTM, Invoice Match, Allocation, Sales Audit, and RIB).
Leading, participating, and supporting the following:
Integration of Retail solution to Oracle Products or 3rd Party products.
Data Migration efforts from Legacy, 3rd Party system and/or Other Oracle Products.
Understanding and experience in configuring Retail Financial Integration (RFI).
Install, configure and provisioning Oracle Retail Products on Premise or support Cloud implementations.
Database and application performance monitoring and tuning.
Providing guidance for technical alternatives, as well as providing technical knowledge and leading workshops with retail clients' IT teams.
Implementing High Availability Architecture (Grid Infrastructure, Clusterware, Real Application Cluster).
Production monitoring and issue resolution.
Working with internal Oracle teams to assist in upgrading, and patching Oracle Retail environments.
Working alongside Partners and other third-party organizations as required.
Interacting with, and working alongside, the Client team at the customer site as needed.
Proactively build and maintaining the confidence of clients and colleagues.
Supporting business development activities or participating in multiple projects at the same time.
Defining various technical architecture based on customer needs
Troubleshooting problems on various layers of the application and infrastructure.
Providing internal analysis and support.
Enhance and maintaining existing environment(s) capacity and capabilities.
Responsibilities
Qualifications:
Leading and implementing 3 or more full project life-cycles for the Oracle Retail Solutions Suite (MFSC, PRICING, IMCS, SACS, ALLOC, SIOCS, RICS)
Strong Oracle Database 11g-12c, Autonomous (ATP) skills
High experiences with setup, maintenance, monitor and troubleshooting of Oracle Retail product suite and infrastructure
Experience with the Oracle Retail Data Migration tool for Saas implementations
Security, logging, auditing, policy management for Oracle Retail Suite
Reasonable programming skills (PL/SQL, Java, C++, proC)
Deep knowledge of integration, including RIB Messages, Web Services (SOAP & REST), XML, JSP, Java, J2EE, servlets, RSE, IGS, ODI, and BDI
Oracle Database performance monitoring and tuning experience
Good UNIX and Linux systems experience
Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into architectural solutions
Ability to lead and work independently as well as make independent judgments
Attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough testing
Overall analytical skills and ability to pick up new technical skills quickly
Strong Initiative with ability to adapt and adjust to an environment quickly
Self-motivated, and driven to achieve aggressive goals and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and documentation skills (Verbal and Written)
Required Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience
10+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Retail Suite
3+ years Store Inventory
RIB/RSB, RICS expert level experience
Strong Customer engagement experience
Excellent spoken and written English skills
Open to travel - up to 75% depending on client needs/post-pandemic
Preferred:
Oracle Certification is preferred
OIC knowledge and Certificate is preferred
Knowledge of Oracle Store Inventory System, Oracle Pricing System, Oracle Merchandising System (v12 – V19), V16, V19 preferred
Experience with other Oracle products, e.g., Oracle Identity Management, Oracle SOA/OSB, Oracle BI Publisher, is preferred
Experience with POS software such as Micros (Xstore, XCenter, Xadmin), is preferred
Experience with Oracle RAF (Retail Application Framework) & ADF is preferred

Hiring Range: from $88,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
