We are looking to fill a Continuous Improvement Technician position in our manufacturing plant in Des Moines IA. This role will assist with the implementation of Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. They will evaluate all continuous improvement activities and implement plans to optimize performance and processes; by employing Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. This position prepares for, leads, and most importantly has the hands-on expertise to execute Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
Qualified Candidates would have a bachelor's degree or minimum 4 years of manufacturing/operations experience. Skilled trades certifications are a plus. Thorough knowledge and strong aptitude in process improvement and problem solving. Influencer, communicator strong advocate of CI. Experience leading CI events in a manufacturing environment is a plus. General fabrication, welding, blueprint reading, and the ability to utilize tools and equipment required. Excellent communication, organization and PC skills required. Preferred experience with CAD programming, Excel, Word, Outlook, and an aptitude to learn as technology evolves. Detail oriented and ability to meet deadlines. Team player and must work effectively with others. Some travel required.
