Job Description Summary

Travelers is looking for energetic, creative and talented people to join our Enterprise Document and Mail Management technology team, powered by the Quadient Inspire platform. You will be responsible for the design, development, testing and implementation of various document and mail generation workflows using Inspire Designer, Scaler and Interactive. You will work with a team of talented engineers and contributors from across the company to enable effective and scalable solutions that will be leveraged by thousands of Travelers personnel. Working within an Agile delivery model, this team will have a profound effect on driving efficiencies, increasing revenue and enabling a strategic technical foundation for the future. You will work with several on-premise and Cloud-based applications from around the enterprise areas and various line-of-business area to produce a robust, world-class customer communication management platform.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze and develop workflows, master templates, interfaces and integration flows using the Inspire product suite.

  • Responsible for system programming and analysis tasks of intermediate complexity within a single system or group of small systems.

  • Responsibilities include performing analysis, design, programming and configuration functions (includes defining technical requirements) with a very high degree of accuracy and speed.

  • Performs analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and incidents of intermediate complexity and escalates appropriately. Builds effective relationships with stakeholders.

  • Develop solutions by designing system specifications, standards and programming.

  • Troubleshoot issues and provide bug fixes.

  • Work with business partners and colleagues to define data mapping and interface agreements.

  • Participate in the continuous improvement and development using Inspire Designer, Scaler, ICM, and Interactive.

  • Interacts with customers to achieve efficient, effective results.

  • Evaluates systems specifications regarding customer requirements, transforming specifications into cost-effective, technically correct solutions.

  • Responsible for adhering to established quality control and security protocols.

  • Work with external partners and/or integration partner teams to ensure the overall success of the team and implementation goals.

  • Collaborate with architects to define patterns for the successful integration of the Inspire platform with source applications and other delivery platforms.

  • Keeps up to date on the advancements in the Quadient Inspire product suite, that can provide additional benefits or efficiencies in how we look to solve business problems.

  • Create and execute test scripts for assigned development work.

  • Ensure availability of the Inspire platform and provide on-call support to resolve application issues when necessary.

  • Utilizes business knowledge to explain technical activities in business terms.

  • Seeks opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.

  • Performs basic project management responsibilities, and actively participates in all Agile ceremonies and activities.

  • Coordinates project work with GSO partners.

  • Provides technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced employees.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in work experience.

  • Two years of programming/development experience.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge

  • Four years of programming/development experience preferred.

  • Three years of development experience as a Quadient Inspire developer.

  • Experience working in a development capacity working with data integration technologies is preferred.

  • Quadient Inspire developer certification(s) preferred.

  • Experience integrating SaaS products (ie. Salesforce, Okta, Mulesoft, etc.) is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Web Services, WS security standards and ability to provide solutions in a multi-vendor and architecture environment.

  • Knowledge of Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management and Performance Monitoring and KPI for end-to-end process execution.

  • Experience working in an Agile or Kanban delivery model is preferred.

  • Knowledge of the Property/Casualty insurance business is preferred.

  • Experience working with onshore and offshore partners is preferred.

  • Java, C++ and/or Javascript experience is preferred.

  • Superior written communication, verbal communication, and facilitation skills.

  • Documaker experience is a plus.

  • Ricoh ProcessDirector experience is a plus.

  • Experience using and supporting MuleSoft’s API management portal, Anypoint Platform, application integration services and cloud technologies is a plus.

  • Experience using and supporting Okta and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of:

  • Test automation tools like Selenium

  • CA Agile Manager (Rally) or similar ALM tools

  • Automated deployment/DevOps tools and technologies

  • Salesforce API model and integration patterns, or a demonstration in their ability to gain the knowledge quickly on the job.

  • Domain Expertise - Demonstrated track record of domain expertise including understanding technical concepts necessary to do the job effectively and aware of industry trends, demonstrate willingness, cooperation, and concern for business issues and priorities, and possess in depth knowledge of immediate systems worked on and some knowledge of adjacent systems.

  • Problem Solving - Strong problem solver who ensures solutions are built for the long term, is able to resolve new issues, recognizes mistakes using them as learning and teaching opportunities and consistently breaks down large problems into smaller, more manageable ones.

  • Leadership - Intermediate leadership skills with the ability to help create a safe environment for others to learn and grow as engineers and a proven track record of self-motivation in identifying opportunities and tracking team efforts.
