We are looking for a data-driven expert who has great attention to detail and looking to thrive in a dynamic, growing environment. Intermediate experience in spreadsheets and proficiency in database management desired. Do you have fast and accurate typing skills and impeccable organization? Then we have the Data Entry Specialist position for you. This long-term temporary Data Entry Clerk role is based in the Des Moines, Iowa area.

Major responsibilities

  • Confirm, corroborate, and remove unnecessary data, or combine data from several sources

  • Enter information into spreadsheets, databases and customer relationship management systems

  • Search websites for information

  • Survey reports and sheets of data

  • Seek further information for documents that are considered to be incomplete

  • Review completed work for content errors or duplicate values before presenting the final product

  • Preserve detailed records of tasks, files, and progress


  • Less than one year of experience

  • Demonstrated typing accuracy

  • Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

  • Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing

  • navigating basic office equipment and protocols experience preferred

  • Background working with Numeric 6,000 - 8,000 KPH

  • Adeptness in mail processing

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Email experience

  • Comprehension of special projects

  • Strong familiarity with data entry

  • Practical knowledge of MS Outlook

  • Research experience highly valued

  • Alpha 6,000 - 8,000 kph experience desired

  • General familiarity with Microsoft Office

  • Experience with typing 45 - 60 words per minute

  • Earlier work involving order entry

  • Microsoft Word experience highly preferred

  • Database management experience highly desired

  • Previous experience working with recruiting personnel

  • Good understanding of records maintenance

  • Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
