Principal DI Internal Wholesaler-NSD in Des Moines, Iowa
Provide marketing and sales support through daily phone and email contact with business unit registered representative and marketers to improve product sales.
Initiate daily contact with producers and assigned external wholesaler(s) to encourage sales of identified products in a territory.
In conjunction and support of an assigned external wholesaler, proactively promote and implement marketing strategies, systems, and collateral materials for identified products, concepts and/or market segments to assigned BusinessCenter/Wholesaler/BGA/Alliance accounts. Develop effective working relationships with assigned accounts and producers. Educate and motivate marketers on product and concepts, application(s), features and sales ideas to achieve marketing and sales objectives. Monitor the pipeline of assigned accounts to assist with effectively moving business through the sales process. Assist in the coordination and implementation of select producers seminars. Provide supplementary support services to select producers as directed.
Respond promptly and accurately to producer inquiries providing expertise on products, concepts, illustrations, systems or service issues as well as relationship management. Conduct effective situation diagnosis and follow through to address issues and/or refer to appropriate parties for resolution.
Implement database strategies to increase individual, unit and field productivity as well as accumulate knowledge of producers for current and future marketing.
Consult with management on industry trends, developments and opportunities related to our strategic marketing objectives.
Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.
Provide input in developing and implementing new products, concepts, systems, and marketing initiatives as needed or directed.
Bachelor degree or equivalent plus 2 - 4 years related work experience in financial services, marketing, or sales
Life & Health license required within 120 days
FINRA registration may be required
Industry designations (e.g
CLU, ChFC, CFP, FLMI), or progress towards, preferred
Requires broad understanding of insurance operations, products, and concepts with the ability to apply marketing strategies and systems
Requires strong planning, organizational, problem solving and time management skills with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities
Requires effective verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to develop effective relationships and motivate producer behavior
Minimal travel may be required
