Change Healthcare Director of Finance, Consolidation and Process Improvement in Des Moines, Iowa

Overview of Position

You will report to the SVP and CFO of Software and Analytics supporting the S&A segment which represents more than half the company. You will partner with the business to drive growth, profitability, and productivity. You will be an integral part of the team that supports innovation and investment and ultimately help deliver products to the market that improve outcomes for consumers, payers, and providers

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • You will oversee two teams, the Consolidations team, and the Process Improvement team.

  • Supports senior leadership decision-making through the delivery of financial analytics, internal consulting, strategic planning, and process improvement

  • You will be a thought leader creating and implementing consistent best practices and have that consultative mindset

  • Drive change management, be innovative and possess a creative thought process

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 10 or more years of professional experience in large company corporate finance

  • MBA highly preferred

  • 5 years of people management

  • Demonstrated history of change management and successfully improving FP&A processes

  • Must have extremely strong MS Excel skills and experience with financial consolidation, reporting, and forecasting tools

  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated quantitative analytical skills required

  • A Bachelor’s degree required with preference toward a degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related quantitative discipline

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • CPA preferred.

  • Experience as a strategic partner working with P&L business teams is a plus or working closely with a business leader with expense ownership

  • System Skills: TM1/Oracle/PAXs Preferred and/or Hyperion/SAP

  • BI Tools (Qlikview, Spotfire, Tableau) is a plus

  • Ability to summarize and present transaction volume/trends to management

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Financial business partner experience preferred

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment

  • Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion

  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity

  • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude

  • Independent worker and analytical thinker with an ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems
