You will provide direction to improve safety metrics for the business while working closely with sites, senior executives and EHS leaders to ensure compliance with regulations and GXO safety standards. Become a part of our dynamic team and we will help you develop to a level that will exceed your expectations and help you reach your career goals.Pay, benefits and more.We are eager to attract the best, so we offer competitive compensation and a generous benefits package, including full health insurance (medical, dental and vision), 401(k), life insurance, disability and the opportunity to participate in a company incentive plan.What you'll do on a typical day:Partner with operations to create and uphold safety policiesProvide daily leadership for the team, including performance management and mentoringEvaluate and select third-party partners that best support GXO's safety goalsCreate and measure KPIs to ensure goals are being met; implement countermeasures to improve performanceWork collaboratively with safety peers to benchmark and drive consistent policies across business unitsPerform supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, directing work and resolving issuesWhat you need to succeed at GXO:At a minimum, you'll need:7 years of health and safety experience5 years of safety experience in a warehousing/distribution environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory roleSolid knowledge of the principles and practices of the supply chain and logistics industrySuperior knowledge of industry-related state and federal rules and regulationsExperience with OSHA reportingProficiency with Microsoft OfficeIt'd be great if you also have:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related fieldCertified Safety Professional (CSP)Availability to travel up to 25% of the timeAbility to develop and deliver executive-level presentationsSolid ability to address and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence employeesWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
