The opportunity

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will conduct and manage employee relations matters from start to finish. You will partner closely with colleagues in Talent to address and resolve on the job teaming issues and other issues that are typically reviewed by Talent with consultation from an EIT investigator. You will also manage EIT metrics and reporting for key stakeholders and maintain the Employee Relations Center of Excellence Share Point site.

Your key responsibilities

  • Partnering with Talent to manage employee relations matters.

  • You will maintain and track all matters in a centralized database, follow documentation and reporting standards, and maintain confidentiality. In addition, you may conduct detailed reporting and analysis to look for trends and make recommendations for employee trainings, awareness, communications and more.

  • You will manage EIT metrics and reporting for key stakeholders.

  • You will maintain the centralized Employee Relations Center of Excellence Share Point site.

Skills and attributes for success

  • You will have solid knowledge of HR law & practices and/or investigation/employee relations experiences.

  • You are a self-starter who can work independently to manage various priorities and your time.

  • You should be comfortable inputting, analyzing and interpreting data in Excel.

  • You have strong communication skills, written and verbal (experience interviewing a plus)

  • You will have experiences interpreting highly sensitive data related to employee relations concerns and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.

To qualify for this role, you must have

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the firm and maintain professionalism and confidentiality

  • Solid project management and ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interviewing experience a plus

  • Strong analytical skills, must be comfortable reviewing data for trends within Microsoft Excel

  • Solid networking skills and the ability to build relationships

  • Works independently

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • 3+ years Human Resources and/or Employee Relations experience

  • May have Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) certification, but not required

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to quickly learn the business of the firm

  • Solid understanding of internal practices and procedures

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $67,900 to $ 123,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $81,500 to $140,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
