Participate on and lead teams to grow Energy Transition and Resilient Infrastructure (ETRI) business and solution offerings. Associate Directors provide wide-ranging support for ETRI client engagements and solution offerings.

On client engagements they organize their own and team’s tasks and schedules, working on multiple projects simultaneously. They manage core components of projects including quality reviews, work plans, staffing, deadlines and scope or budget issues. They are responsible for developing teams and individuals through coaching and feedback and always promote a culture of excellence. They demonstrate advanced technical and subject matter capability and continue to gain credentials that are recognized and valued at our company and within the industry. Client engagement activities may be remote or involve extended times at the client site.

For ETRI solution offerings Associate Directors actively support and drive the development of solution artifacts (plans, architectures, deliverables, etc.), sales and proposal support materials, support sales activities, and identify new business development opportunities. Development of solution-specific thought leadership materials for internal/external publication is expected, participation in industry and company networking events is encouraged.


  • Build and maintain relationships with clients

  • Deliver billable ETRI consulting, services, and artifacts to client projects

  • Lead project teams on ETRI client engagements in partnership with Directors

  • Develop internal network to pull in resources from across our global team and across market teams (e.g., with Energy Providers and Public Sector)

  • Publish ETRI thought leadership content on a quarterly basis

  • Maintain current and develop additional technical skills relevant to ETRI topic areas

  • Become familiar with ETRI relevant industry and client topics

  • Provide content expertise and corporate insights on a daily basis

  • Demonstrate exemplary general consulting and client relationship skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field (engineering, mathematics, sciences)

  • 10 years documented energy/utility industry experience

  • 5 years documented team leadership and familiarity with personnel management

  • Demonstrated experience dealing with utility industry regulatory issues

  • Demonstrated experience with architecture, design, build, and deployment of utility industry technology solutions

  • Demonstrated experience with utility operations systems and processes

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Position is not eligible for sponsoship

  • Must currently reside in domestic USA.


  • Master's degree in technical field (engineering, mathematics, sciences)

  • Electric and Gas utility industry transmission and distribution systems experience

  • Storyboarding, visual graphics, and workshop facilitation

  • Management consulting experience

Additional Requirements

  • The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.

  • This salary for this position is $105,000 USD to $181,125 USD, may vary depending on degree, direct work experience and location.
