At our core, our team's mission is to help our clients win. In order to do that, our growing team is looking for a highly motivated, confident and client centric Engagement Manager, within our growing Business Central delivery team. This opportunity will provide overall project delivery leadership and manage client relationships during the life cycle of our implementation process. The Engagement Manager is responsible for overseeing project delivery for our largest Business Central clients within our Dynamics 365 product line. This includes ensuring alignment with project governance and delivery standards, collaborating with our project delivery team, providing strategic guidance and leadership to our client, serving as an escalation path, and participating in continuous improvement efforts to define and refine Stoneridge standard practices. The purpose of the Engagement Manager is to lead clients and Stoneridge consulting team through successful delivery of Dynamics 365 ERP and CRM projects, working on multiple concurrent projects and opportunities.
A Day in the Life
Working with our Sales Team and Practice Leadership in representing our delivery methodology during the sales cycle and assisting with scope definition and engagement model
Assisting with transition from sales to delivery, ensuring the delivery team has all of the information necessary for a successful engagement
Assisting with transition from delivery to support, ensuring hypercare criteria is successfully met
Collaborating and providing leadership to delivery team in defining engagement model and delivery methods (right-size according to project needs), providing leadership and stability through the lifecycle of the customer relationship
Communicating proposed delivery methods to clients during Initiate phase and project kickoff
Providing guidance and support to project teams to enable their success throughout the project
Attending steering committee meetings, project planning meetings, and recurring project team meetings
Monitoring engagement performance and present the implementation success, challenges, and results in a consultative manner
Ensuring that the vision for the project is clearly defined and understood by the entire project team, validating that it aligns with their business strategy
Working with Project Manager to participate in communication with client project sponsors regarding status, identifying and mitigating risks, change, open issues, work requests, etc.
Assisting Project Manager with project and resource planning, issue and risk management, stakeholder management, and development and delivery of effective communication
Managing all escalations within assigned portfolio
Assisting with the resolution of project resource needs by communicating needs to management
Establishing regular communication with client project sponsors to communicate status, risks, change, and to provide strategic guidance and stay in tune with potential changes to client business needs
Performing project governance and deliverable audits within assigned portfolio, as well as projects outside of your portfolio
Providing excellent service and build ongoing, trusting relationships with clients to drive collective client and team success
Measuring success achievement with the customer post implementation
Identifying additional opportunities within your client/project portfolio, and coordinating with sales and practice leadership on opportunity management, successful engagement, and quality delivery
Being a great teammate, provide mentorship and leadership as opportunities arise, chip in where needed to provide clients with a great experience
Identifying areas of need for continuous improvement of Stoneridge delivery methods, standards and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Technology, or related field or at least 5 years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or previous versions)
Proven experience leading at least 2 successful full lifecycle ERP and/or CRM Implementations (Dynamics preferred)
3+ years of direct work experience in a project leadership capacity including all aspects of process development and project lifecycle execution
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a consultative capacity
Proven expertise leading teams
Experience working with business analysis techniques and best practices
Ability to present project status, risks, issues, analysis, and strategic recommendations to Client Executive sponsorship, project management and other stakeholders
Solid interpersonal skills, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside Stoneridge
Understanding of Business Finance concepts (working capital, cash flow, capital structure, and money management)
Demonstrated history of working with C-Level executives in the delivery of software
Exposure or experience with pre-sales or sales processes (scoping, estimating, timing)
Understanding of organizational change management considerations for ERP or large technology projects (preferred)
Ability to lead strategically and concurrently manage multiple projects
Ability to work collaboratively for the best interests of the business and the team
Great written and verbal communication skills with audiences of all levels
PMP/CAPM/CSM designation or equivalent experience desired
Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English
Work Location: This position is available on a REMOTE basis in the United States or REMOTE in Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan).
Travel Required: Incumbent is expected to regularly meet with client teams across the United States and Canada will be asked to attend industry events from time to time.
