Rockwell Collins Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for an Engineer II, Systems Engineering. This position is 100% remote; may work from anywhere in the U.S.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work on multiple projects to assist in the technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluating alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.

• Perform analyses at all levels of total system product including: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

• Conduct engineering processes using standard work, including verification and qualification procedures.

• Synthesize analyses of data, and use the results to prepare technical reports of findings and recommendations.

• Seek to identify possible problems presented in applicable projects that may cause a delay or exceed budget.

• Contribute to finding appropriate solutions.

• Manage configuration process, perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

• Perform architectural exploration.

• Decompose customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and generate verification criteria and plans for the requirements.

  Required Qualifications:

• At least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.

• Demonstrable experience with, or at least two college-level courses covering, the following:

• Requirement creation

• Creating verification tests

• VAPS

The salary range for this position is $85,966 to $124,000 per year.
