With continued growth, Accertify is looking to add a Director of Big Data Operations to our global fraud-fighting team.

How will you make an impact in this role?

Our Director of Big Data Operations will lead a team to translate some of the world’s biggest brand’s needs into ground-breaking solutions that provide valuable insight into the fraud and identity market. Working with the latest technologies in the industry, you will be instrumental in helping our clients continue to grow their online operations. This director will have the ability to define architecture and innovate big data into transactional systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering team’s quality of delivery, mentor the technical team, manage technical risk, and communicate with our product team in defining the solution roadmap and converting business capabilities into digital reality

  • Provide expertise as a technical resource to solve complex business issues that translate into data integration and Big Data systems designs

  • Ensure all deliverables are of high quality by setting development standards, adhering to the standards, and participating in code reviews

  • Liaise and build positive relationships with team members, external contacts, and other relevant partners to ensure clear communication, alignment, and execution of the team’s overall priorities

  • Encourage, empower, lead, mentor, and develop colleagues - ensuring high levels of colleague engagement, goal setting, and overall performance management

  • Communicate and work collaboratively with business and product teams to support changes and implementation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Outstanding big data skills with a background in distributed computing and validated experience operating large-scale Hadoop (MapR)/Kubernetes platforms

  • Proven track record to lead technical colleagues in Big Data development and administration roles

  • Hands-on programming experience in Python languages and libraries (preferred)

  • Ability to distill complex problems into methodologies such as Microservices, Data pipelines, Messaging, Eventing, and Async Processing

  • Excellent client communication and facilitating skills, ability to influence others and gain consensus, and team collaboration

  • Combination of proficiency in strategy, technical operations, and communication skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and encourage partners to drive collaboration and alignment

  • Validated people leader with the ability to lead, develop and encourage excellence in your team by leading through example and adopting enterprise-first thinking.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead multiple priorities under pressure. Comfortability working in a fast-paced environment with constantly evolving needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in systems integration, custom development, and package implementation

  • Proven background as an engineering leader in delivering complex solution design and delivering large programs

  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the leading public cloud data platforms (Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud)

Qualifications

Salary Range: $170,000.00 to $255,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
