The Regional Sales Manager will report to Wells Fargo Commercial Capital’s Middle Market Origination Leader. Commercial Capital is developing and executing a new sales model which will simplify how we provide finance solutions to middle market companies. Responsibilities of the Region Origination Leader include:
Lead a team of 7-10 originators in the Central or East Region responsible for providing solutions to middle market companies by originating equipment loans and leases, working in partnership with Middle Market Banking and through direct calling and regional referral sources.
Collaborate with the leaders of other WFCC businesses, including asset-based lending to consistently execute on the clear, customer-centric origination model that positions us to win.
Lead a team that works closely with division managers across Middle Market Banking, Capital Finance, and GRT to identify opportunities and originate new loans and leases for existing customers.
Partner with Middle Market Banking leaders to develop efficient and effective account planning, joint calling efforts, coordinated credit approval processes, and integrated execution for middle market customers.
Prioritize loan growth, collaboration across lines of business, and improvement in return metrics, while originating opportunities consistent with our risk appetite.
Implement and drive adoption of CRM system, salesforce effectiveness tools and strategies, pipeline reporting, and better use of data & analytics to drive prospecting activity, collaboration with internal and external partners, and loan and fee growth.
Develop and direct a high performing diverse team; effectively recruit, inspire, retain and grow top talent, including the development of early talent.
This leader will need the ability to influence change across the region and multiple lines of business through a trusted and thoughtful leadership approach while managing many stakeholders. This role will work with leaders in a matrixed environment to drive loan and fee growth. Deep domain expertise in secured lending products and well-developed credibility with senior risk and control partners will also influence this leader’s effectiveness

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

- 5+ years of equipment finance experience or 4+ years of bank management experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Experience leading sales teams in a matrixed environment
Strong credit experience
Experience with salesforce effectiveness tools and strategies, implementation and adoption of CRM systems, and sales pipeline management
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
