Principal Financial Group Financial Analyst II in Des Moines, Iowa
Principal is hiring a Financial Analyst II to join the Repetitive Payment System Operations Support Team ! In this role you will support the operations and maintenance of the company’s repetitive payment system (RPS). This is a versatile role responsible for coding, automation and balancing of the RPS by various time periods, contracts, and for audits.
We are looking for someone who thrives on solving unique problems with advanced analytical skills and enjoys working with several internal partners and tools. You willserve as an expert for internal and potentially external contacts.
Leverage large amounts of data to prepare and communicate a variety of financial reports to other teams and senior leadership
Build, maintain, and communicate profitability studies for existing clients
Update and create models and experience studies
Analyze and review financial information.
Work towards self-development by expanding knowledge of department, line of business, and industry.
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience required
1+ year related professional experience working in a similar position
Experience with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel (familiarity with formulas, functions, pivot tables).
Experience working with VBA, SAS, PowerBI, SQL, etc. in a professional environment

The work location preference is for Des Moines, IA. However, this role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
$49300 - $95000 / year
