Use donor database software (Raiser’s Edge) to enter contributions, run related reports, update records, and
send thank you letters.
Use word processing software to send thank you letters and cards to donors and other general clerical duties
performed on the computer as requested.
Answer phones and greet guests directing any concerns or questions through the MercyOne Des Moines
Foundation staff or appropriate channels.
Assist with tracking pledges and mailing appropriate pledge payment reminders.
Create monthly fundraising reports and other database reports as needed
Manage schedules of Foundation development leadership team including assisting with scheduling and
preparing for donor calls. Provide telephone coverage for gift officers.
Prepare a variety of reports including contact and giving history using donor database.
Enter contact reports into database on a timely basis for prospect tracking purposes.
Provide support to development leadership teams with drafting, proofing, editing, formatting and finalizing
solicitations and stewardship print and email correspondence to donors and prospects. Document
correspondence in database.
Assists development leadership with development-related activities as assigned.
Assist with expense reports, general bookkeeping, receipts, disbursements, check reconciliation, computer
financial data input, and monthly financial documentation.
Coordinate logistics relative to training sessions, conferences, workshops and presentations.
Maintain donor files and records required by licensing and regulating authorities.
Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing, office
organization, daily mail processing, electronic patient list processing and making bank deposits
Previous experience is preferred.
