We are seeking a senior product leader with the technical experience, passion, and entrepreneurial spirit to lead the strategy and execution of a unified Data and AI platform. The GM of Einstein and Unified Data Services will be responsible for leading the teams responsible for delivering a unified data platform that leverages the power of Einstein across the entire Salesforce portfolio. This leader will partner closely with engineering, marketing, and our Core cloud leaders to bring this vision to life to drive value for our customers. This leader will have a proven track-record of leading distributed teams at a large enterprise, building and executing on a roadmap that balances the short-term needs of the business and medium to long term needs that fuels future business success, and building best-in-class teams. This role will require managing a high performance team of product managers to engage customers, define strategy, set road-maps, and work across engineering to execute and ship.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop vision, roadmap, and execution to deliver unified data & artificial intelligence services that enable customers to unlock data across the entire Customer 360.

  • Responsible for leading a team of product managers through all aspects of product life cycle. This includes: market needs, product vision and strategy, roadmap creation and communication, release planning, requirements gathering, functional specification all the way through to customer enablement and success.

  • Work with Salesforce portfolio products to develop and execute a go-to market strategy & plan in collaboration with marketing, sales, sales enablement, sales support and product teams.

  • Maintain a strong, cohesive and collaborative culture across product and engineering teams and across organizational boundaries. Focus on continuous improvement of product planning and delivery practices across the organization.

  • Develop and nurture a high performance team of product managers and link performance to overall business objectives.

  • Leverage market analysis, competitive knowledge, jobs to be done framework, and customer research to define product roadmap.

  • Champion and evangelize new capabilities and solutions with marketing, sales, support, professional services, partners and customers.

  • Actively participate in industry events, customer briefings, advisory boards, and social media communications.

  • Work with partners to ensure interoperability with our customer’s existing data landscape will be an important point of consideration as we move more deeply into the data space.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Passion for Salesforce, our values, and especially the role of Data in our future.

  • Experience leading distributed teams of over 1000+ people

  • Ability to balance short term needs of the business and medium-to-long term innovation that delivers long term success and customer value

  • Extensive B2C experience and / or experience delivering products that drive personalized and relevant experiences that are driven by data and AI

  • Strong technical acumen and expertise of Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning

  • A strong sense of vision and ability to mobilize product and engineering teams to continue innovating to drive market leadership and customer success in a fast paced technology space.

  • Deep understanding of the data market, how its evolving, and how Salesforce can compete

  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, align, and enable a large geographically dispersed team across all corporate functions in order to drive a successful business.

  • Understand and believe in the unique characteristics of our approach to developer agility and low code / no-code application development.

  • A successful track record of working effectively in a highly matrixed and fast-growing organization.

  • A broad range of experiences across sales, marketing, product management, and engineering.

  • Ability to build and grow an outstanding leadership team and organization.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • 15+ years of experience leading a business or product line in platform or cloud services.

  • 10+ years experience within a software or technology company, preferably managing the product of the entire business or large business unit.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in an enterprise technology organization.

  • Built or led a technology start-up.

  • Strong marketing or sales experience, specifically in the successful launch of new products.

  • Exceptional communicator, comfortable presenting to both business and technology executives.

  • Exceptional leadership capabilities. Proven ability to grow, develop, and retain top technical and product management talent.

  • Very strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse team members and external parties.

  • Deep understanding of development processes and methodologies.

  • Track record of driving results within a matrixed business environment.

  • Strong general management and strategic planning skills combined with expertise in establishing and leading business planning, operational , financial and processes.

  • Undergraduate degree; relevant technical or business (MBA) post-graduate degree is preferred.
