Purpose
Build, lead and develop a best-in-class, innovative Learning & Development function that demonstrably and positively impacts future growth and goals in sales, revenue and EBITDA. This role will provide enterprise-wide leadership to develop and execute learning strategies, assess development needs, and track learning effectiveness covering management / leadership development, technical and sales skills development. professionals.
Strategic Planning:
Develop a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
Identify key priorities, initiatives, and long-term plans to drive the learning and development function forward.
Conduct needs assessments and research to identify organizational learning needs and trends.
Program Design and Implementation:
Design, develop, and implement learning programs, initiatives, and curriculum to address identified organizational needs.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging and effective learning materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, workshops, and blended learning solutions.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, impactful, and scalable learning experiences for employees at all levels.
Learning Culture and Engagement:
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the organization.
Develop strategies and initiatives to increase employee engagement and participation in learning programs.
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation.
Learning Technology and Tools:
Evaluate, select, and implement learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies to support the efficient and effective delivery of learning programs.
Stay updated on emerging learning technologies and tools and assess their potential value and impact on the organization.
Oversee the management and administration of the learning technology infrastructure.
Learning Evaluation and Analytics:
Develop and implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness and impact of learning programs.
Analyze learning data, including course evaluations, assessments, and performance metrics, to generate insights and recommendations for program improvement.
Provide regular reports and presentations to senior leadership, highlighting the value and impact of learning and development initiatives.
Vendor Management and External Partnerships:
Collaborate with external training providers, consultants, and vendors to leverage their expertise and resources.
Evaluate and select external vendors to deliver specialized training programs or fill specific learning gaps.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the quality and cost-effectiveness of external learning solutions.
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of learning and development professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
Set performance goals and expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, department heads, and HR, to understand organizational needs and align learning initiatives with business objectives.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on learning and development matters.
Main Responsibilities
Drive an impactful learning and development strategy and learning experience at Xerox that helps to attract, develop, and retain the best talent in the industry.
Review and assess all current learning and development programming / systems / tools / processes and implement both strategic and tactical improvements
Ensure that learning and development programs and interventions are business-focused, cost-optimized, and sustainable over the long-term.
Ensure successful implementation of all learning and development efforts, developing and using analytics to determine business impact.
Embed a consistent and deep focus on the learner experience, ensuring that all learning content is deeply engaging to the end user
Coach, mentor, and oversee a team dedicated to supporting the successful design and implementation of the learning and development strategy
Ensure the optimal mix of internal resources and vendor partners to maximize the value of Xerox’s spend
Qualifications
At least 10 years’ experience in corporate learning and development, ideally within a business having global scope and complexity.
Proven experience developing, implementing, and overseeing large scale development programs and/or initiatives in a large, global, highly matrixed organization with multiple executive stakeholders.
Demonstrated track record of anticipating, designing, and implementing learning interventions with demonstrable business impact.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Detailed knowledge of LMS architecture, learning transformation, and deployment across multiple geographies.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and modern learning tools and technology.
Established relationships with key learning technology and service vendors is preferred.
Location : Cary, NC or Norwalk, CT locations preferred but position can be remote with regular travel to both locations
