Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Practice Executive will contribute to the profitable growth of the firm’s healthcare Commercial Health Operational Effectiveness Practice by driving supply chain related solutions and innovation to achieve continued growth. The ideal candidate will bring extensive healthcare industry experience with a proven track record of delivering innovative clinical and operational performance solutions to Hospital/Provider institutions. He/she will leverage his/her expertise supply chain expertise sell and to support strategic innovation unique to this type of institution. The Executive will be responsible for developing transformational change and execution models as well as overseeing and delivering the highest quality deliverables to the client at optimal profit for Guidehouse.

This leader will participate in and help direct nationwide business development and relationship management activities for Guidehouse hospital clients and prospects. He/she will provide leadership for structuring and integrating our current offerings to serve their needs and developing leading-edge consulting and consultants, in the supply chain provider service line.

This role will have responsibility for the following:

Client Relationship Management including: Manage a portfolio of client engagements and consulting staff of the enterprise assuring all contractual, targets and deliverables are met. Maintain strong relationships with C-level contacts at client healthcare organizations and develop and instill best practices throughout the organization

New Business Development including: T hought/brand leadership, lead to develop new clients and relationships as well as expand on Guidehouse existing client relationships, be catalyst that result in $3+ million in credited new business for the firm and more importantly lift Guidehouse supply chain value and overall operations importance to the industry

Consulting Staff Leadership: Direct line management, career development, advocacy for, recruitment of and retention of consulting team that promotes a positive and performance oriented culture, ensure consultants thrive and clients maximize care and financial results by focus on value laden profitable innovative solutions.

Content Expertise: R elate effectively and credibly with health system C-suite the context of business development as well as service delivery comprehensively across hospital operations and strategy, but specifically delivering superior, innovative supply chain solutions that deliver measurable value and financial results.

Qualifications

  • 10+ yrs. experience in healthcare provider performance improvement of operations/strategy and implementation

  • 5 + yrs. in delivering management consulting in market/practice leadership capacity with strong focus on supply chain optimization.

  • At least 7 + years of deep content expertise in hospital supply chain improvement (either consulting or within industry operations management)

  • Strong financial experience/focus – deep understanding of supply chain metrics, KPIs and how to drive improvement in those metrics

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success managing large supply chain improvement projects (as project director) with a healthcare provider institution

  • Subject Matter Expertise in 3 or more functional areas of provider supply chain: Logistics, Supply Chain Strategy, Supply Pricing and Utilization, Supply Chain Resilience, Value Analysis, ERP optimization, Procure to Pay Automation and/or Purchased Services.

  • Demonstrated track record in business development, client management and measurable results for clients in health care services demonstrating successfully sales quota of $3+ million annually of professional services

  • Proven and referenceable experience developing senior level client relationships at large hospitals that translates into in securing new business for the firm

  • A high level of intelligence, strategic, analytical and conceptual skills; and a practical approach to problem solving and business growth

  • Masters degree in business, systems engineering, healthcare administration or equivalent professional experience;

  • Ability to travel routinely 9-12 nights per month

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills including public speaking for large and small groups, the ability to leverage the written word in a clear, concise and compelling manner as a tool for communication and persuasion

  • Comfort with ambiguity, a strong sense of confidence without arrogance, creative but practical, flexible but with a strong results orientation, appreciation for the importance of details but with a higher calling to advance strategic imperatives

  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.

  • Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate

  • The highest levels of professional and personal integrity

Additional Requirements
