Job Description

This is a non-merit position with the Iowa Finance Authority . Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section.

Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.

The Iowa Finance Authority is searching for an outstanding, motivated professional to join our team as the Training and Relationship Coordinator.

The Training and Relationship Coordinator is responsible for the planning, development and delivery of training on IFA’s Single-Family programs to participating lenders and industry groups. Travel is required.

General Duties:

This position serves in several capacities for our Single-Family Lending programs. Our Training and Relationship Coordinator will frequently travel to external sites to deliver training, develop and maintain relationships with partners, and ensure that IFA’s Single-Family Lending programs are being communicated effectively throughout the state

As the Training and Relationship Coordinator, your primary duties will include the following:

Training

  • Develop onboarding training program for new participating lenders

  • Visit new participating lenders to deliver training

  • Provide regular ongoing training for participating lenders – both via webinar and onsite

    Develop and maintain relationships with external contacts.

  • Act as liaison with Single-Family participating lenders to gather input on program improvements

  • Represent IFA’s Single-Family Program to industry trade associations and other state agencies at relevant conferences, events, and trainings

  • Coordinate with staff to market and communicate information regarding IFA’s Single-Family programs across the state

    The Training and Relationship Coordinator position is a non-merit, contract covered position that is classified by the State of Iowa as a Training Specialist 2.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Graduation from an accredited four year college or university and experience equal to three years full-time work in one or a combination of the following areas:

  • Professional training, teaching or counseling experience in an educational setting;

  • Professional personnel administration including such areas as job analysis, performance appraisal system, selection devices or labor relations;

  • Professional experience in a major technical program area utilized by the employing agency;

OR

a combination of education and experience to total seven years, substituting experience equal to one year of full-time qualifying work for each thirty semester hours of qualifying coursework;

OR

a combination of education and experience to total seven years, substituting thirty semester hours of graduate coursework for each year of qualifying experience;

OR

employees withcurrent, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to twelve months of full time work as a Training Specialist 1;

OR

employees withcurrent, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to six years' full-time qualifying work.
