Oracle Lead Product Manager in Des Moines, Iowa

Job Description

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Product Manager focused on the Payer strategy, you will manage complex/large-scale project implementation and overcome project barriers. You will obtain requirements, evaluate and determine objectives, goals, and scope of multiple complex projects. You will network across organizations and multiple lines of business and regions to drive initiatives, strategies, issue resolutions, and alignment. You will also create, monitor and provide ongoing communication to appropriate stakeholders. In this role, you will provide counsel, coaching, and facilitation on the effectiveness of a team growing their capabilities for organizing, managing, and making decisions. You will identify risk areas and recommend alternate strategies to leadership that address concerns. You will manage interdependencies or dependencies between projects or programs. You will, manage project process documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education including:

  • At least 3 years product management, product design, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or other HCIT solution work experience

  • At least 7 years of additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Business

  • Master's Degree

  • Familiarity with SAFe and JIRA Align

  • Payer experience – data exchange/interoperability use cases, data sets, standards and insight to regulatory considerations/drivers

Expectations:

  • Must be willing to travel up to 40% as needed

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
