What you will do

  • Coordinate daily truck dispatch schedules, ensuring safe, on-time delivery and pick-up of materials.

  • Support compliance with DOT regulations and driver hour limits.

  • Ensure transportation options adhere to Last Material Hauled (LMH) protocols and Antibiotic Free (ABF) practices.

  • Identify and manage backhaul opportunities to optimize loaded miles.

  • Accurately administer and maintain logistics data across various systems.

  • Provide on-call support during weekday evenings and weekends on a rotating schedule.

  • Develop and maintain initiatives aimed at reducing demurrage costs.

  • Support biosecurity initiatives by training third-party contractors (TPC) on expectations, managing infractions, and collaborating with the Quality Control department.

  • Track fleet updates in Samsara & Fleetio to monitor repairs, maintenance, inspections, registrations, mileage, and locations.

  • Oversee daily trailer check-in/check-out processes, audits, and accurate accounting of demurrage.

  • Maintain overall yard efficiency, including record-keeping for damages and necessary repairs for the fleet.

  • Manage the rail process, including tracking rail cars, handling demurrage, billing, and reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with Safe Feed/Safe Food policies to maintain Feed Safety and Food Safety.

  • Uphold company values in daily work interactions and responsibilities.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 3-5 years’ experience in logistics/routing/dispatch or similar role

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the full office suite

Proficient written and verbal communication skills
