What You Will Do :

Develop, operate, and maintain DER forecasting suite; lead technical workstreams on engagements; and produce and communicate deliverables for both internal and external clients. Common responsibilities include:

  • Develop, operate, and maintain DER forecasting models

  • Interpret and communicate the implications of technical findings to non-technical internal and external client audiences

  • Lead technical elements of report development, stakeholder presentations, and client requests

  • Organize tasks and schedules of self and technical team for delivering high quality, client-ready technical work

  • Collaborate across teams to problem-solve and provide content expertise to tailor solutions for individual clients

  • The ideal candidate will also be expected to keep pace with technology trends and explore new ideas and solutions to problems. As such, there is tremendous opportunity for growth and professional development.

What You Will Need :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related fields or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 2 experience developing models in the energy industry (Python preferred)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with one or more DERs (e.g., energy efficiency, demand response, electric vehicles, solar, storage)

  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written form with internal team members and external clients

  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Ability to creatively problem solve and rapidly learn new modeling platforms and concepts

  • Ability to assume ownership of technical workstreams in a client-facing role

  • Demonstrated experience overseeing work of individuals

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Experience with systems dynamics, benefit-cost analysis, optimization, uncertainty and scenario analysis

  • Experience with product development

  • Experience with source code version control technologies such as Git and Azure DevOps

  • Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS), geodatabases, spatial processes

  • Experience in both Python and R

  • Experience with Snowflake

This is a pipeline requisitions that will be used for multiple openings.

The annual salary range for this position is $78,600.00-$157,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
