The Manager, Content Distribution is a role that is responsible for providing subject matter expertise in how various types of hotel content is acquired, curated, managed, and ultimately consumed by internal and external partners. Content includes attributed and descriptive content for property, room, rates, and rich content such as Images and Videos housed in Marriott’s Digital Asset Center (DAC) and third-party databases such as VFM Leonardo. This position will work across disciplines including Digital, GT, Marketing, Distribution Account teams, Channel Operations and Help Desk teams to document current and future state processes that will drive how content is transformed and managed in the new Product Catalog system which is central to Marriott Growth Platform project. This position will have dual reporting to two Senior Managers.


Education and Experience Required

  • High school diploma or GED and 4 years’ experience in the business, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area OR 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions


Managing Work, Projects, and Policies

  • Document current processes and actively participate in process improvement initiatives and standardizations.

  • Coordinates and implements work and projects as assigned.

  • Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.

  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

  • Manages the flow of questions and directs questions.

  • Assists in capturing business requirements for prioritization in Sprint releases.

  • Coordinates with IT on the deployment of Production and Lower Environment testing efforts.

  • Initiates, grows, and retains relationships with key downstream systems while also performing user documentation on system applications.

  • Innovates protocol for documenting and implementing system changes including onboarding of new brands or brand conversions.

Supporting Operations

  • Works with team to put sustainable work processes and systems in place that support the execution of the strategy.

  • Establishes and maintains complete and up-to-date information to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Represents team in resolving situations.

  • Coordinates with Channel Operation Support team as required.

  • Authors detailed and customized reports for both internal and external customers for heightened business tracking requirements.

  • Communicates Product Catalog upgrades and changes by sharing information with Change Management.

  • Works with team to share process improvements and systems changes for Marriott properties on a global scope.

  • Supports auditing procedures by identifying and determining requirements needed to ensure property adherence to brand and operational standards.

  • Serves as key liaison and point-of-contact for Information Resources to attain information on escalated work and production support issues.

  • Implements EPIC self-evaluation tools to uncover deficiencies, eliminate errors, strengthen compliance.

  • Innovates protocol for documenting and implementing system changes including onboarding of new brands or brand conversions.
