OCED is a multi-technology office responsible for overseeing more than $20B of investment in large scale demonstrations in emerging technologies such as clean hydrogen, carbon capture, advanced nuclear reactors, grid-scale energy storage, industrial emissions reductions as well as demonstrations in rural and socioeconomically disadvantaged regions. We are looking for individuals with a range of skills and interest in large-scale clean energy demonstration projects, particularly in renewable systems, carbon capture and removal, hydrogen, and nuclear energy technologies.

The Market Analystapplies broad management skills and specialized functional and technical expertise to determine a technology's position in the marketplace by researching their competitors and studying the demand, changing marketing conditions, prices, and sales. Using this information, analysts may determine potential markets, product demand, and pricing. Their knowledge of the targeted consumer enables client to evaluate the ability for a successful demonstration. The Market Analyst monitors multiple projects and technologies in a technology sector. This individual establishes and maintains technical and financial reports on the viability of a technology.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 8 years of related experience or a master’s degree plus 5 years of related experience.

• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.

• Clean Energy experience desired but not required.

• Remote position on eastern time zone.

• Experience in DOE environment is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.  Work is mostly sedentary in nature but will require periodic standing and walking and lifting.  Must have good vision and be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
