Ford Motor Company Operations Support Engineer in Des Moines, Iowa

What you will be able to do

  • Write, Configure, and Deploy code that improves service reliability for existing or new systems; set standards for others with respect to code quality.

  • Provide helpful and actionable feedback and review for code or production changes.

  • Lead debugging, troubleshooting, and analysis of service architecture and design.

  • Write documentation: design, system analysis, runbooks, playbooks. Provide design feedback and uplevel design skills of others.

  • Manage coordinated response during complex production issues.

  • Define and orchestrate changes across teams and drive adoption of standards and best practices such as tooling, automation, policy and procedure, working groups, etc.

  • Assist in skill development of others through co-designing, technical walkthroughs, pair-programming and pair reviewing.

  • Analyze system performance, root cause, application issues to proven downtime and achieve improved customer satisfaction rates.

  • Administer, monitor, and manage Teamcenter environments.

  • Support or lead complex projects and management initiatives.

  • Contribute to foster an empowered and diverse learning environment and culture including team cross training, knowledge sharing, document process and procedures for best Teamcenter practice.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in FEDE work environment

  • Good analytical skills with expertise in overall Teamcenter product and other PDM software to solve issues for end user.

  • Effectively communicate with the customer on a day-to-day basis

  • Willingness to work on weekend work and late shifts.

  • Ability to prioritize manage multiple assignments

  • Passion on curiosity for new technology and improving the customer experience
