Job Description

Engages in business development strategies and programs in support of Oracle's Sales Organization.

Assists in the development of strategic market/product line business plans and marketing programs to support sales in designated market segments. Assists in analyzing market data to identify trends/opportunities and develops strategic direction from market information. Assists in identification of volume and strategic customers. Primary interaction is with Oracle sales force; however, may interact with external customers as it relates to the development and facilitation of ongoing business and/or business relationship. Supports the business by interfacing with the sales organization and other internal groups (such as Product Development, Operations, GBUs, Marketing, etc.)

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 2-5 years of Marketing/Business Development experience in the technology industry, preferably software industry. Experience should include relationship management. Conversant in Oracle technology and product strategies. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. BA/BS degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

It’s an exciting time to join the North America Application (NAA) Business Development organization. As part of the Sales Excellence team, you’ll help streamline communications about new business opportunities and "go-to-market" plans for the organization to ensure that our sellers deliver measurable and significant revenues. You’ll work across different parts of the organization to create a communication structure and programmatically share information about our sales methodology, internal tools and productivity training to our sellers You’ll work with all levels in the company and should be comfortable presenting and orchestrating information at an executive level.

Objectives:

  • Drive and/or write, internal communications for NAA around enablement, sales methodology, sales tools

  • Create a common communications framework for the NAA Sales Excellence organization

  • Partner with the strategic messaging organization for consistent brand and voice

  • Manage a comprehensive calendar and drive clear consistent communication across all available channels

  • Assist in maintaining a content repository where individuals can access information on demand.

  • Provide reporting or gather feedback on communication methods to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 2-5 years in a marketing, PR or internal communications role

  • Ability to communicate and work across matrixed teams toward specific business objectives.

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Exceptional project management skills

  • Clear presentation skills and comfort with executive engagement

  • Experience with Confluence, content management systems, intranets, Slack and/or other internal communication systems
