As Organizational Leadership & Development Effectiveness Manager on the Learning & Development team, you will engage with stakeholders in the business , including executives and senior leaders, and partner with others in Human Resources to assess development needs aligned with the Wellmark leader competency model, identify and deploy innovative, strengths-based tactics to address gaps and develop and implement programs aimed at ensuring leaders are prepared to lead the teams of the future! You’ll use your strengths in developing relationships and your own leadership capabilities to effectively influence executive direction.

What does it take to make the cut? You’ll have at least 7 years of combined professional experience including formal leadership through effective engagement, coaching and development, and you are energized by bringing out the best leadership capabilities in others at all levels of the organization from the executive level on down . You’ll use your expertise in adult learning principles and be fluent in all aspects of the ADDIE model, with a knack for delivering project/programs using your strengths in organizing, planning and tracking tasks against measurable outcomes. A demonstrated track record of building effective relationships with both stakeholders and cross-functional team members, driving positive business outcomes through fact-based needs analysis and consultation is key and previous experience in facilitation at the executive level will be critical.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or direct and equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of combined work experience including the following:

  • Proven formal leadership experience required, including strong coaching/mentoring skills and demonstrated success coaching others.

  • Experience in training/adult learning theory and principles - effective communication and facilitation/presentation skills, demonstrated ability to engage others in developing new skills or knowledge that enhances their work; experience designing, developing and/or delivering training programs for classroom and/or online settings.

  • Experience successfully delivering projects and programs leveraging effective organizational skills including planning, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track and time management.

  • Fluent in all aspects of ADDIE model; experience developing and implementing enterprise leadership development programs.

  • Experience building effective relationships and conducting critical conversations.

  • Demonstrated experience providing effective consulting and influencing decisions through sound judgement and data analysis to effectively drive positive business outcomes; experience supporting change management efforts through effective planning and collaboration.

  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to review and synthesize business information for the purpose of deriving and delivering relevant insights and recommendations. Demonstrated ability to think strategically, see connections between initiatives and to think and work cross functionally.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

a. Lead the design, development, delivery and execution of strategic leaderfocused L&D initiatives and programs. b. Champion the creation, implementation, and day to day management of the leader competency model. Source and align both internal and external development opportunities to competencies.Serve as a resource for leaders to provide guidance and coaching to help strengthen competencies and increase overall leadership effectiveness. c. Collaborate with the Learning and Development Leader/team to facilitate development and performance improvement strategies that result in positive behavior change for leaders, and design and implement programs to drive strengthsbased initiatives surrounding employee engagement, leadership development and career frameworks. d. Consult and coach senior leaders to support targeted leadership development needs. e. Collaborate with HR Business Partners to identify leadership and culture related improvement opportunities, and to develop and support people plans. f. Consult with crossfunctional L&D teams to improve skills and competencies concerning all aspects of Learning and Development. g. Utilize data analytics to effectively consult and influence decisions related to shaping division and department level strategy and goals. h. Develop and implement strategic initiatives as a tactical response to L&D issues/opportunities that arise. i. Other duties as assigned.
