Meta Partner Product Lead, Commerce in Des Moines, Iowa


The mission of the Commerce Business Group (CBG) within Meta is to enable meaningful connections between people and businesses through commerce. We partner with product teams to bring new solutions to market, enable external partners to make the most of what we build, and shape the way merchants transact across our platforms.The CBG Product Partnerships team is a product-oriented business team that works across Data Science, Solutions Engineering, Product Management, Product Marketing, and external facing teams to define Meta’s third-party ecosystem strategy for Commerce, prioritize third-party builds, develop market and data-based insights, and drive key business goals. We are looking for a strategy-oriented general manager to develop our third-party ecosystem strategy and execute cross-functionally on priority commerce product initiatives. You will work to develop solutions that reduce friction for our commerce sellers and drive success with their investments on Facebook and Instagram Shops. To be successful in the role, you will be an analytical problem solver who is comfortable both defining a cohesive strategy for VP-level stakeholders and driving execution in a fast-paced and complex cross-functional environment.The ideal candidate must demonstrate a passion and vision for commerce and exhibit excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills. You thrive in ambiguous environments and are a self-starter who focuses on delivering impact.

Required Skills:

Partner Product Lead, Commerce Responsibilities:

  1. Understand market needs, product priorities, and ecosystem capabilities

  2. Synthesize trends in the ecosystem, product performance, and partner growth to influence investment decisions with key stakeholders including executives

  3. Collaborate with product and marketing teams both within Facebook and at third-party partners to develop new commerce product capabilities in the market

  4. Build global strategy to drive business growth through third-party partners with end-to-end ownership from product/initiative ideation to goal attainment

  5. Lead an analytical approach to identify growth initiatives and design in-market experiments leveraging third-party partners to validate hypotheses

  6. Identify innovative solutions in the market through expertise on partners’ capabilities

  7. Work closely with Data Science to identify growth initiatives and design in-market experiments leveraging third-party partners to validate hypotheses

  8. Lead large, global, cross-functional teams including business development, solutions engineering, marketing, data science, and partner management teams to drive execution against initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 6+ years of experience in product management, management consulting, product marketing, investment banking, or equivalent experience

  2. Demonstrated track record of solving complex, strategic business problems using data and insights

  3. Experience working through ambiguity to develop a strategy, set aggressive goals, and execute

  4. Demonstrated experience executing in a fast-paced environment with several cross functional teams

  5. Experience working through shifting priorities and learning quickly, while maintaining organization and control

  6. Experience working with product development teams

  7. Demonstrated track record of influencing senior leaders and executives to drive business decisions
