DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Listed in order of relevance:
Under general direction design, develop, maintain and troubleshoot software programs. Main focus of development and support activities includes communication services for industrial control systems and design of user interface on Windows platform.
Writing detailed functional specifications for new software development and existing applications enhancements.
Assist with defining requirements to resolve basic and moderately complex problems
Communicate software features and support issues to internal and/or external customers.
Write test scenarios and assist with complete program testing
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related technology major.
3+ of work experience in software design and maintenance
Experience with Windows C# desktop applications development including development of communication services preferred
Experience in industrial automation, including networking and communication protocols preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Programming languages: C#, C++ (preferred).
Environment: Visual Studio and .NET Framework. WPF. WCF and Web services.
Operating System: Windows 7, 10 and Windows Server 2008, 2012.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Minimal travel may be required.
