Intermountain Healthcare Pharmacy Industry Relations Director - SH - Remote/Hybrid in Des Moines, Iowa
The Director of Pharmacy Industry Relations has direct oversight of more than $250 Million in annual rebate revenue and plays a significant strategic role in the formulary management of more than $1.5 Billion of pharmaceutical expense. This position is responsible for pharmacy contract negotiations and contract coordination for all SelectHealth lines of business including Commercial, Medicare Part D, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), and rebate aggregation. In addition, this position is responsible for the billing, collection and reporting of all pharmaceutical company rebates. This includes responsibility for the creation and maintenance of all financial reporting controls relative to the rebate processes
Reporting to the AVP of Pharmacy Services for SelectHealth, this leadership position will direct PBM Formulary Manager providing significant strategic formulary management. Will direct and have oversite of a Value Assessment Committee to assure the ability to hit financial rebate and discount targets and has accountability to understand and oversee data analysis in order to optimize rebate growth opportunities.

This position will work Monday - Friday. This is a hybrid role without having to move to Utah. Traveling to facility in Utah at least two or so days a month will be expected for this role.
Pharm D. degree or Master’s degree from an accredited school of pharmacy (degree will be verified).
Current pharmacist license in the State of Utah.
Five years pharmacy practice experience in a managed care or hospital environment, which includes three years of pharmaceutical contract negotiations experience.
Five years’ Pharmacy Benefits Management experience understanding clinical and financial analysis of pharmaceuticals.
Successful leadership experience.
Successful completion of Managed Care Residency.
Experience working with Sales, Actuary, Finance, and Compliance departments to assure the production and maintenance of competitive formularies.
Experience leading a pharmacy formulary Value Assessment Committee.
Strong understanding of risk adjustment and ability to manage to strong Medical Loss Ratios.
Experience in the management of a large portfolio of pharmaceutical formularies.
Advanced degree in business management or healthcare administration.
Strong health care systems orientation including: managed care, retail and hospital pharmacy, pharmacy contracting, pharmaceutical company contracting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Personal computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets.
