As part of our Manufacturing team, you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles the world expects from us. Within our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. That means we’re continually seeking diligent, determined performers who think outside the box to help us find better and more efficient ways to manufacture our vehicles.

What you’ll be able to do:

  • Manage Team of (6) Ford employees and (13) Penske employees.

  • Team responsible for managing the trailer flow process between Plant Bullpens and Plant Docks.

  • Ensure resources and performance standards are in place at all NA plants.

  • Support plants with bullpen reduction actions to ensure that they are operating within capacity constraints.

  • Work w/ Plants and Purchasing to reduce Driver and Trailer Dwell in the Bullpens and on-site.

  • Work w/ Finance to ensure that Plants have budget for Switching and Yard Management (SYM) services.

  • SOW Development for SYM Services and assist Purchasing w/ Market Test.

  • Procure off-site lots, as required, and complete the business case w/ Ford Land: PAR, MEARS, PO

  • Review and approve shuttling invoices and ensure adequate funding available

  • Work w/ Ford IT and Yard Management vendor to Launch new PINC Yard Management System throughout all NA Plants. (YMS Replacement).

  • Assist Plants w/ acquiring enablers for Yard Management: FastGate and MRT’s

  • Map and ensure common SYM business processes throughout all NA Plants, including physical and data flows, as well as FMEA’s.

  • Ensure Ford team members, Penske team members and Plant personnel are trained in new Yard Management System.

  • Implement new Rack Tendering Processes into new Yard Management System.

  • Work w/ MFE and NAML Planning Team to ensure all New Model Programs and Capacity Actions have enough Bullpen capacity and Equipment costs included in Program funding.

The Minimum Qualifications We Seek:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5 or more years of Material, Planning & Logistics experience

Our Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering or Business preferred, MBA or advanced degree a plus

  • Validated experience with MS Office (Project/Access/Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Oultlook)

  • Working knowledge of CMMS, and YMS

  • Solid understanding of MP&L, Plant and NAML processes.
