WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Product Manager joining our Cloud Applications Support team, you’ll have the opportunity to drive solutions to improve Principal’sengineering teams. You will be instrumental in bringing your expertise instrategy, product, and agilityto the engineering product teams. We are building tools to improve the lives of our engineers and to promote engineering excellence across the enterprise.

Here are a few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:
Support and execute our product strategy in alignment with Principal’s enterprise strategic imperatives and objectives.
Lead a product team to establish product practices and drive outcomes while collaborating with business and technology teams.
Create, refine, and prioritize backlog items for engineering teams and act as the voice of the customer with acceptance of completed work.
Build strong partnerships across enterprise teams. Garner support, trust, and engagement for to teams proactively overcome barriers to stay product centric.
Drive the selection of features through prioritization of the product backlog, monitor value delivery on the way to completion and participate in release management and solution validation.
Be comfortable not having all the answers. Leadership will support you making small bets and embrace experimentation. Be curious and open to learning.
Empower your team to own solutions being crafted versus directing what needs to be done and how it should work.
Challenge status quo, encourage innovation, be forward-thinking and approachable. Influence, lead and collaborate well with all partners.
Encourage and bring diverse views together to solve problems in an innovative way.
We’re looking for someone with:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, and 10+ years business or product management experience
Experience partnering with technology teams and supporting technology products
Ability to optimize products within a portfolio (create vision and market that vision)
Experience to develop and mature a product, create product strategy
Experience working in an agile, scrum environment
Superb communication skills, including the ability to build relationships and influence business partners
Additional preferred technical experience:
- Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, AZURE, GCP) is preferred, but not required
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
$95200 - $182400 / year
This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
