Our goal is to make advertising meaningful for everyone: for people, and for the millions of businesses who use our platform to connect with people across the Facebook portfolio. To empower the businesses who use our platform, we build interface solutions to enable them to reach their customers and grow their businesses. The Vertical Products team builds products that meet advertisers’ unique, business-model specific needs to help them get more value out of our apps and services. We're looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager who carries deep business empathy and a passion for innovation, branding, and advertising to join our team. The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for translating market insights and data from the businesses who use our products into product development recommendations. The ideal candidate must have deep empathy and understanding of the businesses who use our products, and have a proven track record of strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and decision making under uncertainty. Ideally this candidate will have prior experience in the advertising space and understand the different needs of businesses throughout the marketing funnel. She or he must thrive with cross-functional teams and exhibit excellent strategic and communication skills.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead market assessment, quantitative analysis, qualitative feedback, and represent the requirements of the market internally with Product Management and Engineering

  2. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the broader Facebook ecosystem to develop strategic product direction and positioning

  3. Drive market segmentation and opportunity assessment efforts to prioritize product opportunities for helping Facebook sales and marketing work more efficiently and effectively to serve client needs

  4. Set clear strategy and vision that addresses the needs of specific business verticals for Facebook’s ad products

  5. Plan and lead cross-functional efforts to drive successful product alpha and beta programs and launches

  6. Partner effectively with Product Management and all sales channels to create world-class product marketing communications, including all sales-facing materials and training

  7. Drive product adoption and usage by developing and managing detailed, long-term adoption plans

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree

  2. 6+ years professional experience in technology, strategic marketing, product management, management consulting, brand management

  3. Experience in the advertising space with the needs of shopper marketers, particularly those in Retail, Ecommerce, Consumer Packaged Goods, and Consumer Electronics

  4. Analytical, data driven decision-maker with the experience using deductive reasoning to simplify and communicate complex issues for a variety of audiences

  5. Experience with ambiguity and a fast-paced and often evolving environment

  6. Demonstrated capacity to communicate complex, large-scale concepts clearly through effective storytelling

  7. Highly self-motivated leader that can operate cross-functionally and influence a variety of stakeholders

  8. Interpersonal skills and demonstrated track record of managing communications to executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA

  2. Experience in the advertising space in Auto, Financial Services, or Pharma

  3. Experience with regulated products or industries

  4. Familiarity with, and interest for Brand marketing
