ICF Consulting Group, Inc. Program Support Specialist- On Call- Remote in Des Moines, Iowa

ICF seeks an on-call Project Support Specialist to support a large early education training and technical assistance team on early care and education projects. The Project Support Specialist will contribute to the development of innovative, high-quality products and services in support of multiple projects within the Early Education Services line of business. Project Support Specialists have an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge, gain exposure to major projects, and interact with experts in the field while building content knowledge and consulting skills.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.

The position is on-call and remote and may involve some travel to OCC sponsored events.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist senior staff in meeting the needs of states and territories by performing research on varied topics; developing, formatting, and maintaining written materials; and collecting and analyzing relevant data.

  • Help develop and maintain resources and technical assistance (TA) tools to support client efforts and initiatives.

  • Assist with planning TA events and services such as webinars and web-based tools.

  • Support TA staff through training sessions, conference calls, and information sharing events.

  • Provide support in the development and revision of written and web-based resources and presentations.

  • Support national webinars; distribute meeting materials; track action items; and provide key related analysis, materials, and other supporting resources.

  • Support meeting logistics such as sending invitations, tracking registrations, following up with participants, and providing Zoom technical support as needed.

  • Support proposal development activities as requested.

  • Take notes during meetings including staff meetings and federal workgroup meetings.

  • Build strong, positive relationships with project staff for ongoing communication, collaborative planning, and shared problem solving to meet the needs of clients, states, and territories.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor' s degree in early childhood education, child development, public administration, public policy, public health, sociology, psychology, education, or related degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

  • 2+ years’ experience providing support, including information gathering and policy analysis, in the field of early childhood education, public health, public administration, or a related field.

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Master’s degree in early childhood education, child development, public administration, public policy, public heath, sociology, psychology, education, or related degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

  • Ability to take ownership of tasks assigned; show initiative to take tasks to the next level by identifying process improvements or providing thoughtful feedback.

  • Ability to develop content based on policy within a team environment.

  • Interest or experience in using knowledge of adult learning styles in the creation of products.

  • Ability to learn new technology platforms and identify ways to enhance productivity and organization.

  • Experience with data collection and analysis.

  • Experience with Smartsheet.

  • Knowledge of 508 compliance.

  • Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish proficiently.

  • Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and strong comfort with a wide range of technologies including Zoom or other virtual meeting platforms.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is :

$51,333.00 - $87,267.00
