GovCIO Project Coordinator (Remote) in Des Moines, Iowa
Overview
GovCIO seeks a Program Coordinator for the Health Services Portfolio Intake Team at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Program Coordinator will support the HSP Intake Program Manager and team. This role involves identifying and streamlining improvements, supporting change management strategies, and managing risks and issues impacting Intake objectives. The coordinator will handle multiple tasks, produce weekly deliverables, and generate performance reports. Responsibilities include maintaining comprehensive documentation, coordinating between teams, occasional event planning and managing group dynamics. The ideal candidate excels in problem-solving, decision-making, and effective communication, with proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Teams, and workflow management. This fully remote United States based position operates in the core timeframe of Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM ET.
Responsibilities
Maintain comprehensive documentation of program activities and decisions, capturing and monitoring action items,follow up with action owners to ensure resolution and producing and communicating meeting minutes.
Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational slides and reports to track risks, metrics, and status updates.
Generate and present performance reports to leadership.
Produce and submit weekly deliverables on time.
Manage peer reviews of work products, process documents, and presentation slides.
Produces weekly operational slides to track Product Line Manager (PLM) Health Intake risks, metrics, and status updates
Creates and distributes Intake Play Decision Automated Voting – tracks and documents all voting responses
Manages Product Line (PL) Assessment and Readiness Process improvement
Store official program data, documents, and artifacts per VA directives.
Assist in identifying and managing risks and issues impacting intake objectives.
Understand existing processes and provide recommendations for improvements in documents, presentations, memorandums of understanding, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Support change management strategies for program objectives.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Take the lead on small projects.
Support all efforts to communicate changes and reduce their impact on the program.
Communicate clearly with team members, stakeholders, and participants.
Understand stakeholder needs and expectations.
Support fast turnaround requests for data by understanding the request and obtaining information from the appropriate individuals.

Coordinate between teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of OKRs and KPIs, fostering a collaborative environment.
Manage group dynamics and resolve conflicts.
Assist in planning and organizing events, conferences, and meetings.
Handle conference packages from initiation to closeout.
Create and maintain event schedules, timelines, and agendas.
Promote events through Teams and email campaigns.
Handle attendee registration and communications.
Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline is required and minimum 10 years of experience.8 years of additional experience may be substituted for education
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with Veterans Affairs or other government agencies.
PMP, Scrum Master, and/or other Agile/SAFe certifications, Change Management Certification
Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills for assessing process effectiveness.
Proficiency in life cycle and project management methodologies.
Familiarity with VA-centric applications like GitHub, JIRA, and ServiceNow.
Clearance : Must be able to obtain/maintain suitability/public trust clearance.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range
USD $85,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
